Criswell was a regular on SoCal TV in the early to mid 50s. ‘Criswell Predicts’ was the name of his show. LA TV was full of ‘characters’ back in the day.

He also had a column that ran in newspapers, including the "Hamden Advisor", a free classifieds newsoaoer in Connecticut in the seventies.
Oscar Madison made reference to him in an episode of the Odd Couple mocking someone saying something obvious. I used to read Criswell's columns. Nothing he predicted EVER came true. He could have done better telling people who would cover the football spread so we could bet against.
