This Pro-Life Billboard of a Baby Was Taken Down After a Pro-Abortion Politician Complained

A British advertising company caved into a pro-abortion politician’s pressuring this week and removed pro-life billboards that showed a developing baby in the womb.

The Centre for Bio-Ethical Reform UK recently paid to run billboards in British Labour MP Stella Creasy’s district to draw attention to her radical pro-abortion agenda. Creasy, who represents Walthamstow, is behind the push to force Northern Ireland to legalize abortion.

The billboards showed the image of a nine-week-old unborn baby and the website StopStella.com. The baby has tiny hands and feet, eyes, nose and ears. Abortion activists slammed it as misleading, claiming the baby must be older than nine weeks; but the world-renowned Mayo Clinic states that by nine weeks, a baby’s “arms grow and elbows appear. Toes are visible and eyelids form.”

Creasy slammed the billboards as a form of “harassment” and demanded that the advertising company Clear Channel remove them.

This week, Yahoo News reports the company apologized and took down the ads.

“We sincerely apologize for any offense that has been caused by a recent campaign which we ran in Walthamstow on behalf of a customer,” a company spokesperson told PR Week. “As an out-of-home media owner, we take a neutral stance towards all advertising and have robust procedures in place to ensure that the creatives we run comply with the UK advertising codes. While this campaign met these requirements, we accept that the content should have been scrutinised in greater detail and should not have been displayed.”

Creasy had the audacity to urge the company to send its profits from the ads to a pro-abortion advocacy group, according to Yahoo.

The Centre for Bioethical Reform accused the British MP of using her political power to silence anyone who disagrees with her.

According to PR Week:

Responding to a question from Campaign about whether the group considered it responsible to run ads actively targeting an individual at a time when hatred and violence towards politicians is at a high, the Centre for Bioethical Reform spokesman said: “You’re begging the question. You are assuming that the unborn child is not also a human being. Indeed, that’s what they are and they are being victimised by extreme abortion advocates who want to see abortion up to birth for any or no reason.

“It is stunning that journalists are buying into the attack on expressive rights by politicians who want no accountability. Where have we advocated for violence or even unfairly attacked Stella? She is simply attempting to silence any opposition to her agenda.

Creasy did not just criticize the ad agency. She also slammed the local police for thinking the billboards are “just ‘free speech’ and not the harassment of women,” and accused them of letting people criticize her point of view because she is a politician.

On Twitter, she even praised people who vandalized one of the billboards.

“I would rather @CCUK_Direct took this advert down, the @metpoliceuk acted to stop the harassment and @patel4witham brought in buffer zone legislation to deal with these people in first place – but in the mean time seems Walthamstow has my back … #lovewalthamstow #hatebullies,” she wrote Monday accompanied by a photo of the vandalism.

Abortion activists are offended by the truth, and it’s becoming increasingly clear that they will use violence and intimidation to shut down free speech to keep others from hearing it, too.

[[Creasy slammed the billboards as a form of “harassment”]]

This is exactly how the left are subverting the 1’st amendment- claiming that anything they don’t like is either ‘harassment’ or ‘hate speech’

They should not have taken it down.

You can’t let politicians decide what billboards can portray.

“fetus”

That’s Latin for “baby”.
