Mitt Romney Cozies Up to Pelosi on Impeachment

I want to tell you, Matthew, that yesterday and today Senator Mitt Romney, Republican, Utah, had phone calls or meetings, whatever, with Pelosi and assured her there was Republican support to remove Trump. Romney is a Never Trumper, and, if he can, he will get rid of Trump. I don’t think that means that Romney has enough Republicans to actually convict. Romney is just staking a claim to a political position. Romney thinks it’s in his best political interests for everybody to think he hates Trump. That’s how he thinks he’s going to politically benefit, whatever his next ambitions are.

See, Romney’s one of these RINOs, a mainstream Republican who’s almost afraid to be a Republican and thinks he’s gotta apologize for Republicans and who they are and conservatives and who they are. He’s one of these guys that wants to go out and try to make sure that whenever the Democrats want to attack Republicans, they leave him alone ’cause he’s actually reasonable and all.

But Trump will be so emboldened and so filled with power that the Democrats — if Trump wins reelection all this is gonna bomb out, they’re gonna fail at it, but they are never gonna stop because it’s not really just Democrats Matthew, this is the Washington establishment trying to hold on to itself, trying to maintain its existence, its rules, its order, its prominence. Trump is a direct threat to that each day.

So the harassment of Donald Trump is not gonna end. It may change its focus in your scenario because I think part and parcel of the treatment of Trump at that point would be instant lame duck. And it could well be that they would just ignore him and act like he’s not even president and start

Its just his ego talking. Who would vote for him on the GOP side if he got the nomination? The GOP turnout would be so low if he got the nomination that 47% he said would automatically vote against him in 2008 it would be 77% in 2020 when all is said and done. The GOP is Trump’s party now even if Romney, Flake, Weld & Sanford think otherwise! Those clowns couldn’t fill a phone booth with supporters.

He will never be the GOP presidential nominee. And, I can’t envision him being re-elected as a Utah Senator. He’s already made his money. Thinking he wants to be a Rainmaker. But, we shall see....

If it came to pass, and mittens were to become the Republican candidate, I would either sit it out or hold my nose and vote third party. I would be damned if I’ll vote for the turd or a democrat.

Romney should just change his party registration to Democrat. He would have a better chance winning the presidency as a Democrat than he ever will as a Republican.

I'm just as disgusted that I had to hold my nose to vote for him as I was for John McCain.

What I would really like to see is Trump and the RNC this next year stress the point that though Trump was able to bring about so many good things for ALL Americans in spite of the huge oppression and push back from the Democrats think about how much BETTER it can be with their cooperation and participation?! If they imagine for a second that we voters will tolerate another four years of obstruction, accusation and investigation, they are sadly mistaken!

You are not the only one, I got kicked off too. But that wasn’t enough punishment to make me vote for Romney. I decided just to vote for Gary Johnson as a protest vote, and let others decide whether Obama or Romney was worse. The majority of the electorate decided that Romney was worse, and I can’t really disagree with that assessment. If Romney had been elected, we would now have president Hillary and the GOP would be in ruins.

Despicable. That he knows what the establishment has done for decades, continues to do, wants to do more of, and still pants after it like a dog, tells me everything I need to know about him.

I’m anti Mormon so I have to be careful what I say. I was pro Newt. I got abused and kicked out when I was rabid anti McCain Amazing looking back now. McCain and Romney. I assumed there was going to be a pro trump purge during the primaries but am presently surprised.
