Within five years, I suspect the Mariners will pack up and move to Vegas.

They'll have to trip over the Tampa Bay Rays on the way. 96 wins on a $51 million payroll, taking the ALDS into Game Five, and only 13,000 show up each night to watch them in that bunker. What's up with THAT?

Imagine Yankee Stadium in White Plains rather than the Bronx, with no public transportation available to get there, and most games beginning at a time that would require driving through 20 miles of rush hour traffic. Put the Rays in Ybor City near Amalie Arena, and the ticket sales will double. It's either that or hello to des Montreal Rayons.

Buckeye,
The Rays play in a location near downtown Saint Pete.
the location was a homer deal done by corrupt politicians.
Built on a hazmat dump area that took extra millions to clean up.
Had they built it north of the city near the dog track and a decent stadium folks from tampa and cleatwater would have come as freeways merge there.
Then they built the absolutely worst stadium EVER.
Hard to believe but Tampa is a football town, Bad as the Bucks are.
