Agreed. In most cases, what they don’t know wont hurt them. The important point is to conceal it which can be a challenge for men and the larger calibers pistols.
It might be nice to have a caliber that can shoot through a brick wall and have 18 rounds, however that kind of firepower requires a very large pistol which is difficult to conceal. So, you end up not carrying. Not carrying defeats the purpose. A smaller caliber pistol with fewer rounds that is easily concealed is better than none at all.
