Is there a list of must be excerpted sources anywhere? It is very annoying to go through a long article line-by-line fixing HTML, removing text where images were in the source, and replacing them with actual images, putting foreign language quotes in italics, etc. to only then be told it's an 'excerpt only' or 'link only source'.
Interesting read - thanks.
God did that!
Thank you for posting this. Sorry about the wasted extra effort.
The article is typical naturalistic double-talk. ‘Evolution’ is fact. We well understand the mechanism of evolution and there exists much evidence for it. As it happens there is also much evidence that contradicts our primary mechanism but that evidence is explained by other mechanisms that we sort of sketch out in response to this confounding evidence as needed. Nonetheless, ‘evolution’ (whatever it is) is fact.
Clever of random chance to figure that out.
Lol.. genes from scratch. Nice fake science. Haven’t they heard... we the people are now educated.
I read it a couple of times and the sense I get is that “de novo” actually means “ex aliquid”, from something. Just because they call something a junk gene does not mean it is a junk gene. Lots of things the scientists originally thought were evolutionary dead ends or leftovers were actually doing something quite important, i.e. the appendix. There are other studies showing those genes do have a purpose, and if “evolution” or “natural selection” changed them, the organism would not be able to function.
During a discussion with a friend, I was asked a question about evolution and neither of us had an answer. Maybe someone here could explain.
If evolution is a naturally occurring event, why don’t some DNA strands rotate in the opposite direction?
Watch any of the “Molecular Machines” YouTube videos and then tell me that you truly believe all this was:
Formed by Chance + Time.
Then tell me How it continues to function.
Lastly tell me Why it functions.

Were one to believe in evolutionary theory, this would be a very interesting article and well worth reading, but since I don’t - heed this tallyhoe - I have wasted my time reading this absolutely fascinating exercise in scientific fiction that would be very important except for the fact that using the dirty “evolution” word it must be utterly false from start to finish.
