When did we start thinking about society’s “concern” for us as new mothers. I had 5 babies and made it just fine. Don’t remember ever once wondering if there was concern out there for me. What is society supposed to do for us??

A French friend of mine who is pregnant commented the other day that in France -- if you're pregnant, you are normally not left to wait in line, at coffee shops, at the grocery store, wherever. You're the first to be seated at restaurant, people are expected to help carry your bags, etc...But in the states, no one bats an eye.

(Keep in mind that this is Los Angeles, I assume places elsewhere in America may be more polite...And that she has plenty of complaints about France too...But in this regard, and in terms of maternal care after giving birth at hospital and things. France wins.)

I have ten children. Some consideration from one’s own family would have been nice.

From “society,” an offer of a seat, or maybe a priority when one’s baby is having a really hard time?

There seems to be a lot of sentiment along the lines of, “You chose to have a baby, so to hell with you.”

As far as putting those ladies “with child” first, I must take that approach with a grain of salt. I see lots of females (of different races) who are “single” mothers, spitting out progeny like jelly beans for the taxpayer to support. Hard to feel empathy for them and put them to the head of any lines when they are raping the USA.

Years ago when I rode the subway to work it was women like myself who gave their seats to pregnant women.

Must be nice! When I was pregnant and living in a city, men would push past me for the last seat on the subway. I was always left standing. And they had to know I was pregnant - I was trim with a basketball-shaped belly. But, I was in good shape, so I just laughed to myself thinking what losers they were.

The 2nd pregnancy, one day I was invited to a meeting run by a church. I walked in with a new basketball-belly and my firstborn in tow, and the men there rushed to hold the door for me, pull out a chair for me, etc. It was great! lol

In America, people volunteer to drive you to Planned Parenthood to get an Abortion.

Funny how the Abortion Laws in Europe are much more restrictive than here.

The Liberals love Europe, but they draw the line on being able to Murder the Unborn without a care in the world.
