That’s a good point. But how can we maintain fiscal conservatism without some elements of social conservatism (re. vices)? What is real conservatism?

That's a very good point, really. Notice that some well-to-do people in that region who consider themselves to be conservatives are against our Second Amendment, our economy ("free trade") and against our culture (incoming hoards from countries around the Equator, traditional family structure,...). Fox News has been posting some propaganda against President Trump (polls, etc.). Maybe they haven't fully assimilated to culture in the U.S.A., yet. Maybe they like slavery.
