Depends on what part of Canada. In B.C. there are a LOT of Pacific Rim immigrants, and there are pockets of immigrants from India all over. While they are not Muslim, they don't adapt the way the old Ukrainian and German immigrants did.

Canada as a whole will be shocked to learn that people aren't inherently, polite, nice and deferential, until it is too late.

I watched the segment and it seemed to me that he was referencing millennials and tweeners of all descriptions
which care little for the sacrifices symbolized by the poppy.

If Ron MacLean felt he should apologize then he is taking the side of said millennials and tweeners against a true Canadian.
