Why in the world would any conservative appear on this or any other leftist hate-fest? They must know they will be ambushed, and the brainless idiots in the audience will whoop-whoop. Does Don Jr. really think he is going to make any converts out of these fools? I mean, what’s the upside?
If you listen to the applause, he definitely received more and more as the discussion went on. Joy Behar scolded the audience, at one point, “this isn’t a MAGA Rally.” Well over half the audience was applauding him when he took them to task. I think it rattled them.

Our side should NEVER give an inch on this crap. They use the same playbook every time (at least starting with Reagan, probably Nixon too), and it goes like this:
1) During the Campaign: Call the Republican a Fascist, Racist, and every other name. Promise that he’ll get us into World War 3, starve the country, etc.
2) After being elected and when the Republican is in office (and none of the above happen), then call EVERYTHING he does to try to clean up government as hate-filled, stamping on the poor, and also make sure that the American public knows of every single military death that takes place under that president.
3) Upon leaving off, REHABILITATE the image of the hated Republican, and then wistfully whine about today’s Republicans not being nearly of the same character and class of those earlier Republicans. And give them a HUGE STATE FUNERAL when they die...even name airports after them. After all, to the Left, past Republican presidents serve a purpose, even after they die.
As to Trump, I doubt he gets Number 3, as that would be just too blatant...but the ones before him, without exception, were treated that way.

I can tell with my parents that this country now has 2 separate ‘realities’, with roughly equal numbers of people, something I’ve never seen before, and it still freaks me out.
Each ‘reality’ has is totally convinced that their truth is the only truth.
REALITY 1: So, for my parents, Trump sure as heck did ‘collude’ with the Russians, even despite the investigation (to quote “they just didn’t find it”), and everything related to the way Trump and his people were set-up, Barr/Durham, is just Alex Jones types making crap up (same with Biden jacking the Ukrainians for his son) - for the few that even know of it.
REALITY 2: Our side - Supported by EVIDENCE, not wishful thinking. We have loads of evidence regarding Trump being set up and conspired against. We also have Biden, HIMSELF, saying that he jacked Ukraine for his kid.
Here’s the problem: We know exactly what Reality #1 is and understand it, because the media floods us with it. It’s impossible to avoid. But for Reality #2, there is a HUGE number of Americans that don’t even know it exists, not one bit. They need to be reached, maybe not to covert them to wearing red MAGA Hats to work, but at least to instill some doubt into their thinking...and that can only help us. We may not make voters out of them, but will they still be willing to walk on glass to get to the voting booth? There’s simply no downside to trying to educate them a bit.
[On a side note, I find our dual-realities also show up elsewhere, such as in what people should eat to get and stay healthy. One side (the masses) says stay clear of carbs, the other side (the ‘experts’) says that advice is BS, and carbs are fine...just keep yourself starved for life. On this huge numbers of people are ignoring the ‘experts’ as they see results for themselves, including many people here on this site.]

Many on the left actually believe that they are well-informed by reading the NYTimes, WaPo etc. These FakeNews media know exactly what they are doing with their slanted coverage and even outright lies. They probably smirk among themselves when they get the public to believe a lie before they make a tiny, brief admission of their false statement. It’s frightening.

They sure do. While I saw bits and pieces of the parallel universes prior, the 2004 election, with the fake draft dodging memo was the one that really opened my eyes to everything.
In that case, you had a proven-fake memo designed to take out a candidate (Bush running for re-election). You had Dan Rather, who first reported on it, INSISTING that it was real...all the way to his death bed.
On our side, we thought that was cute and laughable. But to my parents, that memo was TOTALLY REAL, because Dan said so and stuck with that, and the media (mostly) didn’t let them know it was a total fake. So what really happened there wasn’t Dan getting old and losing his grip on reality, but rather that 10s of Millions of voters were at risk of having their entire universe come down, as reality set in - and the media simply WOULD NOT allow it. And they did not. And it damn-near worked.
