Not only that but....my daughter is a vegetarian, and she doesn’t see the point in something that supposedly tastes like meat. She said if she wanted something that tastes like meat she’d eat meat.
Most vegetarians have multiple reasons for not eating meat. (Health, environment, animal cruelty, Etc.) but the fact remains that when the price comes down, it should be cheaper to make meat than actually raise it on the hooves. This is the primary thought of many who want to see this revolution continue.
I personally agree that we should eat what we want. Meat and meat substitute can both compliment a well rounded diet. The reason vegetarians have always sought a meat substitute is that the taste of meat is very important to any meat entree meals and vegetarians have been looking for this breakthrough for a long time.
