Okay - the royals had a serous problem with their mental processing.
To quote Shakespeare: "UNEASY LIES THE HEAD THAT WEARS THE CROWN."!
Kings and Queens, from time immemorial, no matter what nation/empire we're talking about, have had to worry about being killed, deposed by member of the family, a distant relative, a wife, invading forces, their own people, the government, and assassins/anarchists. And then there is always the courtiers, hangers on, the Pope, church leaders, supposed "friends", and actually ruling.
The above are not "excuses" but things they all had to deal with and then throw in actually ruling a nation or empire!
As with all people, royals and their families have all sorts of people comprising this group.You really can't just lump all of them into one kind of group!
Have ALL American presidents and pols been the same? NO, they haven't. Nor have all pols, from the beginning of this nation. And no, all Dems, haven't been the same, nor have all Whigs and then GOPers.
Some families have members who are pretty much all alike, for generations; however, besides genes, it's also the waay they have been raised.
Other families contain people who are quite disimilar from one another.
And "royals" are, when all is said and done, just people, after all is said and done.
