The 5-year-old boy who was thrown from a third-floor balcony at Mall of America is now "walking perfectly," according to an update on the family's GoFundMe page.
On Friday, the family of the victim, identified only as Landen, said he came home in August with a limp and uneven legs, but has had many sessions of physical therapy and "is now walking PERFECTLY with even legs," the update reads.
It also says Landen "loves being back to school" and when asked by his mother how he's doing, always responds, "Mom, I'm healed, you don't need to ask me anymore."
The update also thanks everyone for their prayers and asks for them to continue and adds that "Landen knows people all over the world are praying for him and he loves all the cards he keeps getting in the mail."
The family's GoFundMe has gotten donations from more than 29,000 people and has raised over $1 million.

I hope the rest of he and his family’s life is as amazing as his recovery!

birth records show he was born in August 1994 at University of
Illinois Hospital in Chicago. No name changes have been made to
the record, James Scalzitti, the director of communications at
the Cook County Clerk’s Office, told The Associated Press in an
email. Records also show Aranda was issued a social security card
in his birth name.

He was Somali, but not an immigrant - the product of a Muslim Somali married to an American, who may have been Hispanic but was not Muslim. Aranda was the mother’s name, which he took legally later on, but his original name was a purely Somali one.
That said, I have no idea how he was brought up or whether he had any Islamic connections. I’d say he was just a loser influenced by imaginary grievances and he thought throwing a little white child over the balcony would show the world how aggrieved he was. (For what? US govt support for his entire family for years?) He got 19 years, so he was obviously not considered insane.
I think he should have gotten more but at least he got something, since this is Minnesota, where it’s surprising that they didn’t give him a medal.
