You are correct. The “Windsors” are a concocted name. They are of German origin and from The House of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha.

I heard she also kicked him out of his royal apartments, which included an office, at Buckingham Palace. I think that the association of a member of the royal family with a character like Epstein was just too much.
Well, he is a little old for starting over. He should have followed the example of his younger brother, Edward. Edward got a job, advanced in his position to a career that he loved. He married a professional woman in the same field and they have a lovely family. A few years ago, Edward gave up the public financing, and he and his family live on what they earn at their (actual) jobs.
IIRC, not even royals can own handguns in Old Blighty, & one was threatened with arrest for not turning his in, title be d@mned.
Anyway, showing my age but the last time I heard of Prince Andrew was in 1982 when he flew R.N. helicopters during Falklands & was carrying on with a soft porn actress named Koo Stark.
Sounds downright normal compared to now.
If you look in the DSM 5, which you can do online, you can see the nine traits required for a diagnosis of Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Five out of nine have to be present for longer than six months.
That said, someone with four out of nine for five months is pretty high on the narcissism scale. It’s all on a continuum, rather than a yes/no thing.
One fascinating factoid that is coming out of current brain studies is that the low/no conscience Cluster B PDs; Narcissistic, Antisocial (Sociopathic and Psychopathic have been stupidly subsumed) are showing different brain structures than normals.
So much for nature vs nurture. Personally, I always leaned heavily nature, which is why I do what I do rather than try to fix narcissists.
