Todays Cryptogram
QKP QKPGZNEL, RZ CPOA RZ RHQVKFQ MH UAN NHUMGN PHMWNGZN FNZNGWN QKPG EKWN RHF RLLNOUMKH. VPFFAR
You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications.
The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).
Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.
PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles as puzzle solvers love to hear how you made out.
You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for todays Cryptogram.
If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste it to Hals Helper below:
You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper.
Solution to our last puzzle:
CLAY CAN BE DIRT IN THE WRONG HANDS, BUT CLAY CAN BE ART IN THE RIGHT HANDS. LUPITA NYONGO
Yesterday's CG was a challenge for most everyone (except swordmaker). Today's is too, in fact, I had to use Hal and even then it was rough. I think everyone will locate the "E." If you recognize the author, it's a cake walk. Otherwise watch for a helpful hint from the group.
About 2 and 1/2 min. 1st 3 letters in 2nd word are the same as 1st word. This got me going.
Good catch...I started with the letter E and that gave me two words in a row and that opened it up.
90-120sec.
Without the E hint, I wouldn’t have got it. Yesterday’s was entirely beyond me. But they are good quotes, so I’m not complaining!
Taking an educated guess at RZ CPOA RZ blew it wide open for me today. ~2 min. Win some, lose some...
Seriously? :-)
Finally, usual go away and come back. Might have hit on a new strategy to get started, will see if it keeps working.
Lost without Hal’s tool. Y’all do it on paper in a few minutes are space aliens.....
