When I was young and living in the Midwest, I wasn’t afraid of snakes. But as an adult, I moved to the American Southwest and snakes are now to be feared. (And yes, we had a rattlesnake on our patio a few years ago...... I didn’t go out of the house until he left the premises.)

I’m not afraid of snakes even the rattlers. Respect yes fear no. Once chased a rattler out of my yard with a garden hose cause i had no snake shot. Turns out they don’t like cold water very much

Where I live it’s Cotton Mouths that are to be feared. Have had them curl up on the the bottom step out my back door before. Eeeeerily spooky.
