Was it cheating that I bought an old Kenmore portable, off of Craigslist, that has a garbage grinder in the bottom? It could probably clean off a baked on musk rat...
The Maytag dishwasher I bought about 3 years ago has a grinder in it and it works great. When I bought it it was 1 of 2 left in the appliance store and they told me they were being phased out. I never rinse dishes and they come out sparkling clean. It replaced an old Kenmore with a grinder in it that burned out.
