Heavy snow covered Californias Los Angeles County on November 28 as the National Weather Service issued warnings for dangerous wintry conditions and up to two feet of snow.
In a video shared by Michael Dubron, a firefighter paramedic, snow is seen falling fast on a white landscape and a helicopter in Lancaster. Please be safe dangerous conditions right now, Dubron wrote.

Not as rare as many would think. About every other year.
Driving from the Central Valley to LA is stopped.
Not that anyone is going that way anyway lol
Well, it’s actually global climate change, you see. /S
Traveling from Arizona to visit family, we caught a little snow driving through the Beaumont/Palm Springs area this afternoon. Last month we drove through there, and there was a wildfire raging close to the freeway. A couple of months ago we were a little further south and there was an earthquake. I’m afraid to come back next month for Christmas!
We can use the rain.
US 101 along the coast is still open. That NEVER closes...except when earthquakes or flooding damage the roads.
Several inches of global warming...
There is a lot of skiing around L.A. so roads would be jammed up with the skiers trying to get to the slopes.
Or fires.
Snow almost every year in the mountains surrounding LA.
Closing 10 lanes of freeway over the Grapevine, on the #1 N/S thoroughfare is a little more rare than that.
But yes, Socal gets snow every year.
Ever feel like it’s God’s way of telling you to stay in Arizona? LOL
Even though it never rains in California:)
In fact, at one time today, I5 at both Grapevine and Shasta were closed, and I80 to Reno was closed.
The entire Central valley was isolated from the world for road traffic.
hahaha..true you are. Next time, I will be more diligent reading.
LA county gets a big snowstorm.
Hartford county (Connecticut) hasn’t had any snow this season
Gee, if only they had a high speed rail covering that route. . .
Must be that damn global warming lol
How about 58 from Barstow to Bakersfield?
AMTRAK covers the route, but nobody rides it.
It’s the warmest snow on record, however.
