and altamont pass from the bay area and 80 to sacramento and...................

In the 80s heavy rains closed I-5 south of Sacto. All other roads flooded already including 80 and 99 and east. For one day you couldn’t drive 15 mingles out of sacramento in any direction.

Even after the Loma Prieto quake my co-worker found his way home with early mobile phone and got to his family after midnight in Ben Lomond above santa cruz,

check road conditions online tomorrow afternoon. As you get into the moutons above Valencia there mate be an AM channel reporting on road conditions. Usually far left (sorry) on the dial.

Maybe no rain tomorrow., If no rain they usually have the pass open after 24 hours. Need to get the trucks moving.

I’m in O-side. I live on 4h floor. When there is a cold rain I can see snow in the mountains to the east from my back deck when the storm passes. Julian for pies and hot cocoa with snow on the sides of the road in town, when there is rain on the coast. Nice to have snow to see and get to, if you want and not live in it.

No where near Phoenix as my big city days are over not to mention the summers there are too hot for me.☺ We're about an hour north of Phoenix at about 5k feet, in one of the best areas the southwest has to offer!

Btw, we did our homework and spent nearly 10 years looking all over the western U.S. for a place to eventually escape to...From Idaho, Oregon, Nevada, Arizona and Washington ...Once we saw this area the rest was history. Btw, the reason we did not go north was because the older ya get, the more the cold bites...Take care!

Arcosanti?
Its arcology concept was posited by the Italian-American architect, Paolo Soleri (1919–2013).

There is a lot of skiing around L.A. so roads would be jammed up with the skiers trying to get to the slopes.

LOL!......I grew up in northern Michigan where lots of snow was the normal. On the rare days where school was closed, myself and my friends would head to the small local ski slope for a day of skiing. If my mom didn't drive me the three miles, I hiked it carrying my skis............
