I was out “dancing” at 6am.
Still celebrating the Bills win over the Cowboys?
They give you a bit of an edge but that’s it. Laws of physics still applies as do the laws of stupidity.
Those same 4wd folks almost ALL seem to forget that:
in the snow,
it’s not how well you can GO,
it’s how well you can WHOA!
Snow tires are the way to go.
They are composed of a different rubber than the all seasons and don’t stiffen up and get so hard in the cold. They maintain better traction.
I’ve ALWAYS had snow tires on my Subaru and now my SUV and I can get through ANYTHING with those babies.
Yup and doing it suddenly on ice or slippery conditions, is a recipe for disaster.
You can’t start fast, stop fast, or take turns or curves fast or physics takes over when momentum is greater than friction.
Deadly? Hardly. Adjust your driving to the conditions and it’s not any more deadly than your usual commute, when the other guy may do something stupid.
LOL! I remember driving into Phoenix one night, after midnight, and it was 101F.
I am on the coast between Boston and Plymouth an we have no snow just rain.
It may change over to snow in day or so.
Right now we will have coastal flooding as the NE wind is not going to let up and the seas will come into the seaside coastal areas. - Tom
I grew up in Orchard Park, NY(rich stadium)
Moved to NH in 1985. I was a Bills fan until Wade Phillips benched Doug Flutie. I have been a Pats fan ever since.
“Around here, its SUV owners who think they are invincible because they have four wheel drive and all season radials.”
Well, that’s because four wheel drive has more stopping power than two wheel drive — twice as many wheels!
Doesn’t do much good when the tires aren’t suited for the weather.
I do not dislike the Giants. The two Super Bowl wins were deserved by the Giants.
I always liked the Big Tuna. Of course, Bill B. was their defensive coordinator back in the day.
Plus their starting nose tackle, Jim Burt played football with my oldest brother at Orchard Park HS. His younger brother and sister were friends of mine in HS.
The only teams I ever hated were the Dolphins growing up in the 1970’s/1980’s they beat the Bills TEN years straight.
Although, in the 90’s, it was the other way around.
I never liked the Cowboys, because they were always so cocky.
The Pat’s are not as good as their record this year. They have had the easiest schedule in the league. Baltimore is the best team, followed by SF, NO, KC & Houston. The Pat’s have a great secondary, but they have a problem stopping the run and mobile quarterbacks. They play KC this weekend at home. Then the Bills at home.
I think the Bills will win the AFC East.
I do not believe the Bills will win the AFC East. Wildcard maybe. They are playing the Ravens this weekend. I believe the Ravens will win that game. Bills will be 9/4.
The Pats have to play KC at home this weekend. KC will may win that. If the Pats lose they will still be 10/3.
The Bills then have to play at Foxboro the following weekend. The Pats will probably win that. It will be close.
Pats 11/3 Bills 9/5
The next two weekends the Pats play the Bengels and the Dolphins. These are both terrible teams. Pats should end up 13/3
The Bills then play the Steelers and Jets. The Steelers is going to be a toss up. They are both playing for a Wildcard spot. They should beat the Jets.
Bills 10/6
Even IF the Bills beat the Pats this weekend they would end up 11/5. The Pats would still be 12/4.
The Bills would have to beat the Steeles too to end up with the same record as the Pats. Then it comes down to AFC wins.
So, to summarize the Bills have to win ALL of their remaining games except the Ravens to potentially tie the Pats. The Pats would have to lose to KC & Bills and either Miami or Cincy. Unlikely.
Most likely the Pats win the AFC east and then lose to either the Ravens in the AFC Championship or KC in the second round.
It is hard to come to Foxborough in January and win.
However, they will have to play the Ravens in Baltimore.
Baltimore wins the Super Bowl this year. My educated guess.
