When gas is out, you cant plug in your ICE car.

I was just thinking that. Or a portable charger to plug in at your destination. As long as you dont travel more than 300 miles.

We have them now but the generators are incorporated into the design of the car. They are called hybrids.

Portable generators have no where near the capability of charging EVs, nor does the EV have the space to safely carry the 20 gallons or so of gasoline that it would take to fully charge the vehicle.
