MEXICO CITY (AP) — Mexico’s president and the U.S. attorney general met behind closed doors Thursday, about a week after U.S. President Donald Trump suggested his government could classify Mexican drug cartels as terrorist organizations.

The Foreign Relations Department said the meeting between Attorney General William Barr and President Andrés Manuel López Obrador was “cordial and respectful” and touched on establishing “a common front” against the cartels.

I thought the pictures were interesting> I don't believe I've ever seen street photos of arriving diplomats in Mexico. Barr's convoy is seen traveling slowly through narrow streets with residential housing towering over it, people so near the cars. No exit if things "went wrong" in a country beset by cartels. Even the compound doors that must be opened to admit or allow cars to exit look like something you'd see surrounded by a moat. The Mexican president chose to tweet the picture of him meeting with Barr. Interesting decision.

A “Green Zone” like in Iraq would be needed for an assault on the cartels.

Cartels and mules and everyone helping illegals into the US should be declared terrorists, targeted with drones or troops regardless of the side of the border they are on. Since we are defending our homeland, how about a $10,000 bounty on each captured alive and $5,000 on each captured dead?

I hope Barr is back in the US now! Those narrow streets do not look very safe at all, hopefully MX security knew who/what was in all those buildings. Did you see the “heavy wooden doors”?

[The President of Mexico needs a name tag? :-)]

I had this idea where everyone in New York City should wear name tags. You know, to make the city more friendly.

The Green Zones in Afghanistan were never truly safe.
10 years ago, it was common to hear of violations resulting in injuries to US military and associates.
Maybe this part of Mexico is safer by comparison.

I WOULD THINK that the order coming down would be to NOT TOUCH this man (Barr)

It would HAVE TO merit a STAGGERING response.

Trump is in office. Not bill.

Hell would hit them and they don’t want that.

The Iraq Green Zone has held up well (to my surprise).

\When they’re attacked, the cartels will be much more aggressive.

I would assume the same, but still that narrow road did not look very cleaned out.

Individual liberty means individual responsibility. You’ve given the perfect example of how murderous and bloodthirsty the American sheeple have become to keep from being responsible for their own actions.

LOL!
And if people did no wrong...
Well, we’d need no laws, no governors...

We may see that when Jesus returns.

“A “Green Zone” like in Iraq would be needed for an assault on the cartels.”

I suspect the wealthy, who run Mexico, are far more concerned about banking and travel sanctions.

Well, everybody helping the illegals into the US would include the Democrat leadership. Could we drone the Rat coup plotters? Dreams...
