That white guys are at fault simply because they don't have the maturity and patience to wait their turn in the checkout line at Walmart without hitting the customer in front of them in the head with their fists? Really?
BTW, I don't see any evidence in the article that the slow customer was a "minority asshole" or "scum of the earth".
But I do see evidence that the accused white guy was in the wrong. Not for being a white male. But for being an out-of-control, violent asshole. Could be why he was arrested ya' think?
I like the little old ladies who wait until everything is scanned, bagged and loaded into their Cart BEFORE they take the Checkbook out of their Purse.
Of course their Checkbook is buried at the bottom of their Purse, so we need to allow enough time for search and rescue.
They stand there looking at the Prices being rung up on the Cashier screen to be sure they aren’t being overcharged. I guess it’s much simpler than double checking the Receipt before they leave the Store.
They are just precious. I just smile and hate myself for picking the wrong line.
This is why self-checkout arrays are a great thing. Nobody has to be stuck behind those little old ladies.
These are also the little old ladies going 35mph in the fast lane on the interstate wondering why nobody is civil or driving ‘a reasonable speed.’
Time to outlaw fists.
Agreed. It’s also irritating when the customer and the cashier begin a long term relationship during the check out. All the chatting slows them both down. I understand being friendly, but I don’t need your life history or want to give mine.
I flat out refuse to use the self-check-out. I don’t work there, and I don’t volunteer in a for-profit establishment. If there was a discount for using those lanes, I likely would do so, but they’re not getting my labor for nothing.
The same goes for “buying” a bag for my groceries: if they ask me to pay for a bag, I will walk out without buying anything, leaving my purchase on the belt. Even if I have had a custom sandwich made. I will not play those games.
I like the way you think! I feel exactly the same.
“...Not something I’d be relating and bragging about....”
Fully understand and certainly not bragging on my end.
I even debated about even posting it at all. Seeing as where that incident happened over 3 years ago, I decided to shared it....probably shouldn’t have.
FWIW, I was more than grateful and very thankful to have actually been able to walk away without being charged...or badly hurt, or even killed. I learned from my mistakes that day. My biggest mistake was going in there to start with. Second mistake was letting that drunk SOB to P me off from cussing me like he did. I should have never turned around, or said anything, and instead just immediately walked out of there.
BTW, he was much younger and bigger than me too. IF he’d been sober, rather than pissy-eyed drunk, he probably would have put the hurt on me...big time. I think the LEO saw that, and knew it could have been much worse. ie: pulling the 9mm and shooting the worthless POS to keep from being killed as the last resort.
Like I said: I hate WM and refuse to go there anymore. It’s a “unsafe environment” as far as I’m concerned.
For now : )
The “Ralph’s” gave it away. That’s where we shopped when we lived in SoCal. (Escaped in 2010.)
Target was crowded but had every register open today. Its a great store. So much cleaner and organized then Walmart. And the customer base is a bit more human acting.
Good grief. And we wonder why we have a bad reputation.
Our local stores are starting to tack on that 3 percent fee the banks charge them for purchases. If you pay cash they say 3 percent discount. Grrrrrr.
I have been known to pay with a two dollar bill. About half of the kids have to call the manager.
Let me guess.
Self checkout?
Is that Terry Bradshaw?
