Remember the scientists who put wing tags on penguins and that colony suffered more attrition than others as a result- while they don’t fly, lenguins need silent wings as flippers underwater to catch prey and avoid predators with incredible hearing. When you live life on the edge in Antarctica that slight alteration making you noisier can have a big impact.

How does something like this even happen? Who would think of this?
Does Michaels sell these little hats or do the hat gluers(?) make them?
Perhaps this was a craft project in need of a purpose? Dapper pigeons, sure why not, no one’s thought of that...
