DC has released a new teaser for Frank Miller and Rafael Grampá's Dark Knight Returns: The Golden Child that features The Joker showing his true colors: red, white and blue.
The image sees the Clown Prince of Crime straightening the necktie on his American flag-themed suit, and behind him are posters bearing the unmistakable face of the President of the United States Donald Trump (though the text on the posters is implied to say "Trust" instead of "Trump.")

It's about sending a message....
Go woke, go broke.
It went from being a timeless story about a fatherless antihero rebelling against the world and burning it down ... to just another liberal hit piece against Trump.
Ironically, liberals have banned “clown world” and other references to their insanity ... because it so aptly describes THEM.
Miller hated Reagan, too. He seemed to turn a little conservative more recently, but I guess hes back to his old tricks.
All the make believe fantasy in the world doesn’t make any of it true but their propaganda knows no bounds.
Which (if you think about with any shred of honesty) makes them exactly like the NFL.
No entertainment endeavor is a model for real life decisions.
Money. And self promotion. thats what they offered him.
Glad I’m done with comics. They keep losing readers: too high prices, political crap, and terrible stories. But they don’t care because of movie and merchandise revenue. No matter how low the print runs get, they will keep propping them up.
How old is Joker in this storyline that is a sequel to a story from 35 years ago when the characters were already old and Reagan was "the president"?
It wasn’t “cool” to protest Clinton (or Obama’s) wars.
Its unpopular to say, but I didnt like The Dark Knight Returns. All those 16-panel pages made it a tedious slog.
Aren’t the Amazonians an all-female society?
Maybe Supes was just a sperm donor... like David Crosby?
They keep “rebooting” the universe every so often so the characters don’t end up being 120 years old and still running around in tights.
Yeah, and come to think of it, didn’t Joker try to instigate a nuclear war and have America land the first strike in the original comic? Joker to me seemed more like someone who’d love the Soviets, if only because the Soviets matched his nihilistic love of death and carnage more than America did, so I’m not entirely sure why he’d try to manipulate a senator to nuking the Soviets when it would have been easier for him to just go to the USSR and suggest they nuke America.
Anyways, if I recall correctly, Joker had died in Dark Knight Returns, pretty much killed himself just to frame Batman for murder (he had earlier snapped his neck enough to leave him a quadraplegic, but Joker decided to just finish off the neck snapping himself), so why would he even be alive at the time of this comic, let alone a Trump supporter.
