Michael Kosanovich, 21, was eyeing a 2002 Lexus at 148th St. and Foch Blvd. in South Jamaica when the owner inadvertently started the car’s remote ignition about 9:45 p.m. Saturday.

The front of a Lexus comes up to what, mid-thigh? No vital organs from there down, so how did that kill him?

Sounds defective. Lexus would be liable like Jeep/Chrysler was responsible for Anton Yelchin’s death. Cars started with a remote start shouldn’t ever move.

Perhaps it was an aftermarket remote starter. I wouldn’t think an expensive car like a Lexus would have such a flaw.

I’m behind the times with remote ignitions starting cars. Which is easier for thieves? Hacking or hot wiring?
