Just say no to term limits. Can you foresee the term limited politicans saying and doing whatthehellever they want or desire?

A better idea is to allow for the recall of Representatives and Senators.

THAT would keep them in line

Recall would not work in the House. Schiff for brains will be reelected in his district which is very liberal and hates Trump.

Term Limits to 2 terms in the Senate, 4 Terms in the House and 2 terms as President. No person can serve more then 20 years total in Congress, 22 if they are elected President.

House members are considered a GS-13 Step 3, Senators are a GS=15 Step 2. They receive bi-annual step promotions. In other words in the House to get a pay raise you have to be reelected.

They retire under an appropriate GS protocols. Something like, they invest in the appropriate 401K and if they reach 10 years of total service they receive a stipend plus 401K (similar to the military) maybe 1/4 pay based on rolling average of last three years pay. They begin collecting at age 62. If they serve 20 years they receive 1/2 pay plus 401K at age 62. While an elected official they receive the same BHA and per diem a military members gets for the DC area. They get a stipend for hiring staff in DC and only one office in their State or District. They can hire five people as GS-9-12 at each location. Majority and Minority leaders will be paid as an SES, with each allowed an additional 5 staff for their DC office. Any additional staff or office space must be provided by the appropriate State and be voted on annually in the State budget. Those employee are considered State employees and fall under the State retirement and pay plans. This would give the voters some leverage. Congress critters can any roll other federal service into their GS retirement i.e. someone did 6 years in the military and 14 years in Congress they can buy their military time into their GS retirement and retire with 20 years collecting at age 62. This is already the practice for someone with military time working for the NSA or FBI or even the Dept of Interior. They actually have to pay out of their monthly pay checks to have their military time added to their retirement. Presidents receive free health care, 3/4 of pay effective when they leave office, per diem and BHA for the area they live and a government paid for staff not to exceed 5 people.

This may seem too generous, but you want professionals, not professional politicians to work for our interests. Professionals would have to put a career on hold to be a elected representative. It would also incentives them to do what the constituents want or waste years of their financial lives. Remember the gravy train eventful reaches it's final stop and a House member in their 40s and 50s would have to actually go back to work.

Yes I thought of this before. But this is posted for discussion, they are quick thoughts so there may be some issues with this idea, so be kind:)
