Agreed. And my Dad recently commented that many episodes of Cheers are kind of silly and dumb but Taxi still is enjoyable to watch with all sorts of sidesplitting funny moments.

Taxi, Barney Miller, and others from that era are still light years ahead of the modern stuff.

Louie DePalma was some piece of work.

Alex I liked best. He was the sensible one.
