My Dad’s heart surgeon said pretty much the same thing...he said the bigger threat to Dad is anemia from too little iron and b vitamins, so eat steaks, burgers and liver and onions or fried chicken liver if that’s what it takes to boost soluble iron, it’s safer and easier on the stomach than supplements. My Dad’s arteries weren’t clogged with cholesterol they were clogged with calcium from him chomping on tums all his life- not all heart and artery conditions are from a fatty diet. He’s got great bones though...
I have: the iron pills, the b vits, folic acid, super d monthly, and other stuff, and yet ... every so often I am a quart low, and need a transfusion. My kidneys have reached an ‘8’, I have been told “CHF”, I have an ostomy, and ... I am still mobile, chief bottle washer, chef, trashman, and ... still living alone!
Vitamin K2-MK7 or K2-MK4 could shuttle that calcium into his bones from his arteries.
One study on animals showed a 50% regression in two months.
