SpaceX made it to the space station with their unmanned crew capsule a few months ago. But then the reused capsule exploded during a test. SpaceX is scheduled to do their in flight abort test next month, and then the crewed test shouldn’t be too long after that if everything goes well.

However, Boeing/ULA is being paid a lot more money to do the same job and falling behind.

Is that a picture of Musk laughing after his manned capsule blew up on the launch pad?

Has everyone forgot the constant and embarrassing string of Vangard failures prior to Mercury Redstone?

How about John Glenn’s anomaly that suggested his heat shield had deployed during his historic flight? Or the uncontrolled rotation anomaly when Gemini attempted to first rendezvous with the Athena target vehicle? Or what about Apollo 13??
