Just my opinion but age 34 is too young to retire. Those are the prime working years. Also at issue in this case is lifestyle and location. Wait until your in the 50s, grown kids and a somewhat downsized lifestyle. Could have saved so much more too working another 15-20 years.

In addition, if you have living parents and are placed in a position where you would need to help them out, having a working income or more saved up would definitely assist in doing that.

Here in Texas we still use outhouses and the summer has eighty percent humidity and it’s generally a hundred and six degrees except if in cools down when the tornadoes run close together...
