Six suspects are still being sought after the robbery in the Bronx, police said.
A 60-year-old man who was brutally attacked and robbed for $1 on Christmas Eve has died from his injuries, the NYPD said Saturday.
Juan Fresnada was with his husband in the Bronx early Tuesday when six individuals approached them and demanded money, police said. When the victims refused, they were attacked, according to the NYPD.
Surveillance video released by police Friday shows one of them repeatedly punching and kicking Fresnada as he's on the ground. One of them hits Fresnada with a metal garbage can, the video shows.

Officers have released surveillance photos and videos in hopes of pinpointing suspects.
The suspects stole the $1 from the victims and fled, police said.
A different video released by the NYPD shows at least two of the individuals running into a store after the attack.
Fresnada's husband refused medical attention at the scene, police said. After being transported to a local hospital in the Bronx, Fresnada died on Friday afternoon, according to the NYPD.
The motive for the attack appears to be robbery, police said, and the suspects are still at large.

Its a classic felony murder situation. They would all get the death penalty in most jurisdictions because if someone dies while one criminal does the deed, everyone taking part in the crime in the crime is equality culpable.
And the thing is, Leftists are happy to see NY City returning back to ‘normal’, after 20 years of Rudy and Bloomberg scaring the crap out of killers, to the point where they stopped killing, raping, and mugging.

Who knows? The motivation for the attack was anti-white hatred, encouraged by the City of New York. I doubt that the attackers knew that Juan Fresnada was gay or that the other man had any connection with him.
Juan Fresnada was older and more vulnerable and couldn’t run fast enough. They clubbed him with a metal trash can.
This has got to stop. The city released a nutcase who had carried out 8 attacks on Jews (or people she thought were Jews) on the subway while screaming anti-Jewish slogans, and they said this wasn’t a hate-crime . I know, I don’t like “hate crime” designations either, but it needs to work both ways. They told this nutcase - who will kill somebody one of these days - that she has to report twice a month to some mental health facility in Queens. Yeah. Right.
