THE PROSPECT OF 2020
Powerline ^ | January 1,2020 | SCOTT JOHNSON

Posted on 01/01/2020 5:55:18 AM PST by Hojczyk

the Democratic Party and its media adjunct go any crazier than they already are? We know they can and will. We can’t do anything about it.

We will find out how much crazier in the event that President Trump is reelected this coming November. Trump’s reelection is a consummation devoutly to be wished, and not only for the sheer pleasure we might take in the misery of the left.

Yet the prospect is uncertain. Trump’s margin of victory in key states was so small last time around, and the opportunities to pick up states he lost seem few and far between. The Trump campaign seems to be targeting New Hampshire, Minnesota, and New Mexico as possible pickups, but the inclusion of Minnesota in this basket makes me worry. It’s not gonna happen.

The crazy could arrive before November, however, if only Trump were presented with the opportunity of naming a replacement to one of the Supreme Court’s leftist lot. Ruth Bader Ginsburg is 87; Stephen Breyer is a relative spring chicken at 81. They only seem like permanent fixtures. It would be nice if either were to step down in the next few months — if it didn’t bring on a second civil war.

After the left’s metaphorical assassination of Brett Kavanaugh, what remains in the toolkit of the Democrats and their media adjunct? We would find out.

Leading the Democratic pack in national opinion polls, Joe Biden is no spring chicken himself. One can observe the aging process at work in him. Retirement should long ago have beckoned. One wants to tell him: get a clue, man.

Biden and Bernie are on their last leg. If elected their is a good chance they may not make the 4 year mark. If they do not the VP choice they make will be the next president. This is the danger. Look for their VP choice

Whoever the dims nominate for VP will certainly be someone who is not even qualified for dog catcher not to mention president. IDIOCRACY will be everyday life if the dimwits ever take the presidency again.

Well, if scott johnson is worried about MN not going to Trump, is his cousin, hank johnson, still worried about Guam tipping over?

It is ten months and 2 days until the election, much can happen, but Scott states that, "It's not gonna happen".

When predictors are wrong, do they publish a long article and say, "Sorry, I was wrong"?

Hell no, they hope you and I will have forgotten their bullshit predictions.

On the first day of the new year, the word-smithers are already spreading their personal manure and calling it fact.

Sorry about the duplicate post, at least it won’t cause global warming.

”The Trump campaign seems to be targeting New Hampshire, Minnesota, and New Mexico”

In New Hampshire a few years ago, the poll workers allowed anyone who showed up to cast a vote. Activists could go from location to location casting multiple votes, even if they were from out of state or otherwise unqualified. Unless there has been major reform, the Democrat fraud machine will take NH.

The fraud in 2020 will be epic. In many states, Trump will have to get 70 percent of the real vote to secure victory.

Biden and Bernie are on their last leg.

The player to be named later by the super delegates is still in hiding as was Obama when Hillary was scratched. He/She may still be being groomed by the leftists and the background concealed from all but the glitterati. Be prepared for anyone or anything. The Communists are determined!

I think Trump and the GOP have enough money to finance an "every State/Every District strategy. Make the Dems have to fight down-ticket for every seat.

It's like playing golf. Nobody is going to shoot 18, but from what I saw in Great Britain's elections, Conservatives took seats Labour had for over a century...and I think the same dynamic is here.

Just think what would happen if the GOP picked up 70-80 seats in the House, and 3-4 in the Senate? And those seats were picked up because of Donald Trump, and those Congresscritters were beholden to him?

Finally, most Presidents wind down in their second terms. Many are saddled with scandals and/or try to get a foreign policy legacy. I think Trump's best work will be in his second term, because he's different from any President we've ever had.
