Hate is a Motive, it isn’t a Crime.
Hate Crimes are Thought Crimes which makes them clearly Unconstitutional unless we are living in an Orwellian Society.
He’s a minority. They “can’t commit hate crimes.” The left will claim he’s cray-cray, and shouldn’t be charged with anything.
While I believe ‘Hate Crimes’ to be just one notch away from 1984-style, ‘Thought Crimes,’ I’m seriously surprised to read this!

I recall a tragic story of the killing of a Vietnamese man in or around San Jose California. The killer beat the man to death with a rock (multiple skull fractures). However, the family was told it wasn’t a hate crime based on the ethnicity of the attacker (must have been Vietnamese too). This terminology just doesn’t do anyone any good - this family is, what? Supposed to be comforted because, “Yes, your father was beaten in the head with a rock until he died....but at least the killer did NOT hate him?”
