“why would I care about a fictional person’s “real-life” problems “
You can’t like any movie, past or present.
Or any book. Or campfire story from an oral tradition.
What I have absolutely zero interest in are dramas about extremely ordinary people having extremely ordinary problems/family dramas, etc.. That's what real-life is for. Watching something like the emotional drama of some fictional couple's marriage dissolving...no thanks.
