Untrue. Plenty of movies are about real people. Or, they are about fictional people in extraordinary situations.

What I have absolutely zero interest in are dramas about extremely ordinary people having extremely ordinary problems/family dramas, etc.. That's what real-life is for. Watching something like the emotional drama of some fictional couple's marriage dissolving...no thanks.
