I was very satisfied with Windows 7, worked like a charm. I was foolish enough to follow the hype and got Windows 10. For me its a disaster.Biggest problem is getting photos from I phone and camera onto the computer.

When I want to transfer photo files from my Android phone to computer, I start by clicking on “Settings”, then “Connect to PC” and setup for file transfer.

Then connect to computer with the cable, and use Windows Explorer to transfer files, delete files etc on either device.

I use an app, Send Anywhere, for Android on my phone, and it lets me transfer photos or files directly to my Win10 pc without using any cords or sd card. You set a new password every time you use it (phone and pc use same new code each time) and it has been flawless. Also available for iphone.

I have used Win10 since first wave of updates from Win8.1 and have been very pleased with it. Stable from the beginning for me).

I think I see your problem here. It's the "I" before phone. We're an Android family (Samsung to be precise) and I have NEVER experienced problems transferring files from phones to computers and back using nothing more than Windows Explorer. I was even able to use Win Explorer the other night to move files on my wife's phone from her phone storage to her card storage.

And that's using computers running Win 7, 8.1 when I had it and now 10. Different versions, same results.
