Another quarterback is leaving school early for the NFL.
Georgia’s Jake Fromm announced Wednesday that he will forgo his senior season in Athens and declare for the 2020 NFL draft.

He will be a great second-round draft pick.
I wonder how Dawg nation is feeling. They had Heisman finalist THE Ohio State University Justin Fields on campus last season. For whatever reason, Fields did not work out for UGa and bolted for much greener pastures. On Field at UGa, I wish someone would do some investigative reporting.
Seems like he’s gotten worse under Kirby Smart.
In defense of this season, the UGa WR corps was a bunch of kids with no experience except for a transfer from THE U.

I don’t know who this kid is or how much talent he has, but it’s all too common that some of them with a modicum of skills forego their senior year on a full scholarship, leave their degree unfinished, just to make a quick few million in the pros. The good (or lucky) ones have a financial planner who keeps them on the straight and narrow, while others get injured or cut, and have nothing to show for it all after burning through their paydays with loose women, fast cars, and fair-weather friends. It’s no wonder teams have staff financial planners, because honestly, more than a few players are physically-gifted boneheads who breezed through school based on what they could do onfield, but in practice are about as bright as a sack of wet mice.

Our RB declared for the draft. He ran for 843 yards this year.
Nobody squanders as much talent as Kirby. :^)

Yeah they should stay in college, risk getting injured, and thus making zero dollars, but come out with that Phys Ed degree from Georgia that will stand him in good stead on life’s rocky road.
That’s the smart move.

Should be interesting to see how the NFL evaluates Fromm and Jacob Eason. Fromm beat Eason for the starting job at UGa and Eason transferred to UW. Everything I have heard is Eason is much more impressive from a physical skills level with a cannon of an arm.
