If his IP address was used, wouldn’t this illegal stuff be on his computer? Maybe wifey caught him at something. The IP address would be for the router. Anybody connected to the router would have the same IP address to the outside world. The local devices have DHCP IP addresses that the router uses to return results to the correct device.
