Yep - and all the commercials, touting all the things a drug can be a “panacea” for, urge people to “talk to your doctor to see if you can become rich, good looking, have lots of friends and be always happy...” and the doctors gladly prescribe and take the kickbacks...

Finasteride, a drug to shrink the prostate, turned the love of my life into a monster in three days. Fortunately he was back to his wonderful self when he stopped it.

I agree. I’m thinking that the weakeness I’ve experienced while taking the statin was due to a reaction with some other daily drug I take.

Would you die if you didn’t take all 21 meds?

No; just the insulin, pancreas and heart meds are critical. The others are for ‘good measure’ and support the critical meds and overall health.

Sorry, that’s incorrect. Selective Serotinin Reuptake Inhibitor. EG: Prozac, zoloft, paxil, celexa, etc.

Note, maybe there’s some confusion here? SSRI, SNRI, 2 different types of drug.

Take your time and read my post #65, the previous ones which it addresses, and those linked to it afterwards.

Thankfully he has not needed it since the operation and they switched him to the name brand until then.

Generic only has to be 80% as effective as the name brand and I swear they sometimes cut it with rat poison. Thankfully we had a doctor who listened because we have had those who have told us that "the generic is exactly the same, you are just imagining things". Needless to say that was his last time as our doctor.

I am so sorry you had the trouble you did.

True that. I’m often wrong on things so I meet many who can’t accept a “oops” type reply. He did so I’m cool with it.

Honestly, so many prescribed drugs so it’s hard to keep track. So no harm no foul. I’m good with the plain old “I’m sorry” response. It happens. I think I use it multiple times a day in my days in real life / home.

All is good.

I’v never been on any medication for long...but a recent accident required ‘meloxicam’ and for a week I couldn’t shake a nagging headache from the medication.
