Statins for most people, are generally innocuous, but you are ignorant if you think they do not have side effects, some of them very serious, in some people.
So you believe statins are an inherently more healthy way to live than from lifestyle changes providing the same effect?
I have been taking 20 mg Of Lipitor for at least 40 years daily at bedtime. The only thing the statin has done, for me, is to keep my cholesterol levels in good shape. My family has a history of heart disease and many heart caused deaths. I will not buy into this article and there have been others like it over the years. I can remember discussing this topic before, here, on free republic.
