Same here. I was taking generic Crestor for about 5 years and was primarily experiencing pain in my knees and shoulders which got worse over time. I quit taking them and within 2 weeks all of that pain was gone (along with nightmares and a general weak feeling I had the entire time I was on that drug).
My GP understood when I told him I quit taking the statin and now I take something called Repatha which is a bi-weekly injectible that works as good as the statins but without all of the side effects.
Depends upon the person. I have been on generic crestor for years, with none of the effects mentioned here. But my cholesterol and lips, etc., are great.
