THIS is yet another “unintended consequence” of not holding those entrusted with upholding the law to a HIGHER standard.
As I stated earlier, if they lie with impunity to the ones they supposedly “serve”, why should the public not lie right back?

Cops lie all the time. It is quite literally part of their job. and I don’t mean that in a bad way. They have all sorts of tools they use to get perps to confess or otherwise get information that will incriminate them.
This is why smart people NEVER talk to the police.
