Interesting indeed. I do not like Rap or Hip Hop as a genre...nor metal either....That being said, Kanye is doing the country a service with his Christian oriented shows. Whether it will be short lived like Dylan’s or longer term, I don’t know, nor pretend to know what is in his heart. But this country does need a return to some sort of societal decorum and morals and responsibility for one’s actions. To that end, bully for Mr. West.
My son’s friends liked KORN when they were in the 5th grade. They are all 30+ something now.
For those who might not know, Brian is also a Christian. A Christian artist now.
Very interesting indeed. Kern’s music is what I would call “hedonistic” in a manner of speaking. With Kanye’s turn to the Lord it possibly speaks of others taking the dame road. Will wait and see.
That’s very good to hear! Praise the Lord!
I do know that Brian is a witness for Christ at KORN concerts. An unlikely advocate for our Savior just like Kanye is. I wish both of them success in bringing people to Christ.

Only if you consider Bethel Church of Redding California to be remotely Christian.
People unfamiliar with Bethel Church and the New Apostolic Reformation will probably be very surprised.
with thousands of denominations/segments of christianity out there which one or two got it all right?
answer is none. our job is to tell people about Jesus and let Him and Holy Spirit deal with each person. God can change a heart (save a soul) in any place if the person really wants Him to.
And God is not fooled by the man made additions or exclusions or shenanigans of any church out of line with Him and His word in the Bible He gave us as guideline. Lots of fake stuff in just about every church building I’ve been in over the years since my accepting Jesus. Just have to discern Truth and discard the rest of what goes on because every church has some level of wrong happening.
“And God is not fooled by the man made additions or exclusions or shenanigans of any church out of line with Him and His word in the Bible”
Which is why I said that people should investigate Redding’s Bethel Church before taking their claim of Christianity at face value.
I think the same is true for any of the mainlines, including the Baptists....most if not 75% are apostate now
Mainlines over the years became about liberal secular culture. Parishioners abandoned them for non-denominational protestant churches or the conservative remnant within the old mainline.
Outfits like Bethel, the New Apostolic Reformation, the Emerging Church, a few other new movements are something else entirely.
Oh, I forgot, they also have that freak named Caitlin in their family too..........Sheesh!
my point was - people can go to any church and still God can reach them. Sure it doesn’t help that some churches are way off from biblical teaching, but God can use even those places to still reach people. If a person is willing God will help them hear what is Truth.
God also has solid followers at weak or off track churches. I know plenty who go due to spouse attends there and they go as a family. Those strong enough in their faith to attend (or called by God to be at) weak or off track churches without weakening themsleves are likely the light in the dark for others trying to grow or may be ministering to elderly etc who don’t have many options of churches to attend due to where they live and their ability to get around. They may be a pivotal person in many people’s lives in accepting Jesus or not.
The apostles even were called to live in and among back slidden church people. They themselves were off track at times and had many disagreements about what was right or not about following Jesus and His word and their Torah. Yet God did great things through all their doubts and pride and missteps etc.
Nothing’s changed since apostles/disciples times - it’s not about which church is right or better than another. The main focus should be each person and their heart/choice for Jesus and choosing to actually let Him lead their life, wherever that leads them.
He's got a pretty interesting story, and it's been a good long while since he turned his life around. He's isn't someone just coming to the party for the first time.
I think this is real with Kanye. Never thought it was real with Madonna or Dylan-—flavor of the month.
Kanye is going to be a missionary to this generation.
Peter seems to have taken a somewhat harsher view of false teachers. 2 Peter 2. Paul in Galations, 1 & 5. Jude in its short entirety.
An interesting development.
ok, but you are changing the topic - yes God will judge pastors/teachers differently than others especially for false teaching.
That still doesn’t change the fact people can attend any church they choose and God can use any church or any place or person for that matter to reach a lost soul
