I gave it a chance. Might have watched a good part of the first season. Gave up on it.
It was much better than the movie sequels, which were absolutely horrid. The original movie wasn’t really about chopping off heads. It was about the tragic struggle of an outcast in a brutal world, which I think is symbollic, and even though the soundtrack was rock and roll, the movie had a dual side to it that was quite mystical and melancholy. The TV show just seemed to spin serialized plot conflict (like almost all shows did) and got old fast
