Oprah Winfrey said Friday that Russell Simmons attempted to pressure her about her involvement with a documentary in which several women detail sexual abuse allegations against the rap mogul, but his efforts were not what prompted her to leave the project.
“He did reach out multiple times and attempted to pressure me,” Winfrey told The Associated Press through a spokesperson on Friday.
It was not anything Simmons said that prompted Winfrey to withdraw from the “On the Record” film, according to Winfrey, but rather inconsistencies in the story of one of Simmons’ accusers, Drew Dixon, that she felt needed to be addressed.
Winfrey said Friday that she still believes Dixon and other women in the film, but that more reporting was needed.
“On the Record” directors Kirby Dick and Amy Ziering have said they have ample evidence against Simmons, a co-founder of Def Jam Recordings. …

Winfrey was a second-rate news reporter and suddenly becomes this powerful talk show host. No way that happened through hard work up the ladder. CIA or globalists created her and made her who she is IMO.

There was nothing all of a sudden about it. She worked the system, took the jobs, moved her profile up, for a decade before she got signed by a very good firm, King World. Honestly her path isn’t much different than Rush’s. Or David Letterman’s. Or Roger Ebert’s, who’se the guy who talked into signing with King World. Why in blazes the CIA or globalists give a good damn about talk shows. Once again you have proven that all conspiracy theories are stupid and should never be uttered aloud. Honestly you should be embarrassed.
I was very young when I remember Winfrey being a local reporter on WJZ out of Baltimore. That must’ve been 40 some years ago.
I lived in Cumming, Georgia, which had a famous racial incident in the 1980s that drew national and international attention. Oprah was there doing her show and one of my coworkers was on the panel she was interviewing. He said that Oprah was as nice as could be before the show and during breaks. When the show was over she hugged all the wives, shook hands with the men and walked away with a smile on her face. As soon as she was outside in front of reporters she changed completely. “I was never so scared in all my life! Those people were animals who would kill me without a second thought.” He said she was one of the phoniest people he had ever met before or since.
His knowledge of her involvement with Weinstein may have been what made her back off her virtue-signaling project.

I rather think it was arrogant and foolish women.
They’re like teenagers (not maligning the good ones!) who think they just know more than their folks.
The women just ‘knew’ and I mean, ‘JUST KNEW’ she was smarter because she was an enlightened woman and since they were learning to be enlightened they went along for the ride.
If the women watching her, listening to her, reading what she wrote actually looked at her lifestyle, listened to what she practiced and did not preach and read her self-help books they’d have learned to not be like her and not want to follow her.
Vanity. Pride. Arrogance. Add women and that’s what got her where she is today.
Interestingly, I was never able to watch the show. I mean, literally able to watch the show. I couldn’t process even the commercials for her show. Like it was anathema to my thinking process. Before being and after accepting Christ as my Lord and Savior. I am thankful for that fact.
She was called out on social media by some rapper. 50 cent, I think. He was mad she was bringing attention to the crimes of a black man. Not kidding.
oprah had a school in South Africa that had school officials sexually assaulting children.
