I call bullshit on this one. She knew her future was completely tied to Bill since she wouldn't be elected dogcatcher without her ties to him. That's why I always refer to her as "Mrs. Bill Clinton" and not "Hillary".
In 1992 Bill Clinton declared that theirs would be a co-presidency, a two-for-one election. Hillary ran the closed door Hillarycare takeover scheme.
In 2008 Hillary was again playing the co-presidency card claiming that she would turn to Bill for advice and he said he might go down the hall and sit in on sessions.
She doesn’t have ‘legs’ without Bill’s coattails.
It was even how she got on the board of directors at Wal-Mart. Her husband was governor at the time.
