Why would anyone do this? It shows a complete lack of empathy for others.

While the woman was still on the phone, dispatchers began discussing a similar call that had just been phoned in from down the road. Authorities have since determined at least 15 vehicles were damaged after being shot at, likely by a BB or pellet gun, on highways in the Volusia County area on New Year’s Day. . .The Florida Highway Patrol troop in Jacksonville also reported multiple vehicles damaged along I-95 near St. Augustine, but said Wednesday night it had not confirmed if the incidents were related. . .: ‘Glass shattering all over my face’: 911 callers describe string of air-gun shootings that damaged 15 cars on I-4

If it had happened in New York, he would be free without bail, and out doing it again this morning.

Lafferty's vehicle was instrumental in tracking down the suspect, Chief Maples said. The last reported incident was on Jan. 5. Shortly thereafter law enforcement identified the suspect's vehicle as a GMC Sonoma pick-up truck. They linked the truck to several known incidents and identified Lafferty as the vehicle's driver.

Sounds like 'on star' ratted him out.
