That cake is gorgeous! I happen to have the frosting on hand - adding cake mix and cherries to the grocery list. That will be lovely for St. Valentine’s Day. :)

I may bake them as cupcakes - a whole cake is too much for the two of us to eat. I can always freeze cupcakes easily, for later snacking. ;)

I am so stealing that cupcake picture and I don’t even know why. They are gorgeous.

Not me, although I have a nice old wooden crate with a label that would be a great container for a succulent garden. Have not gotten around to it and probably never will.

You can find nice fake ones at IKEA and sometimes even Walmart, LOL! I don’t own any, either. I just love the idea of them.
Mom has a Prickly PEar Cactus in her yard - I cannot believe that thing survives our winters, but when it blooms (bright yellow) in the summer, it is spectacular.
Beau’s family is from Alabama. A few years ago we took a road trip down there for a visit. I couldn’t believe the number of prickly pear and other large cactus that people used around their mailboxes as decoration, as we might plant annuals or have a Clematis draped over it. Those cactus were massive...the poor Mailman, LOL!

More snow and ice last week here in Central Missouri.
No gardening happening at my place aside from thinking about it.

We have four, healthy and happy duckings in a box in our kitchen! Momma had a nest in the heated coop and after five hatchlings died, I started catching them, newly hatched and bringing them into the house.
The nest is empty and I am cleaning it out of the coop, today. The four new ones, Huey, Dewey, Louie and Fred, will live in the house until they are big enough and the weather warms up.

“Huey, Dewey, Louie and Fred...”
I love it! So sweet of you to take them in.
What kind of ducks? For food, or just for pets/garden bug control?

Pets and eggs, although Household Six has developed an egg allergy.
They get the run of the garden and backyard in good weather. Heated coop and large pond in the pen.
Life is good, for them.
