Every pandemic we have seen over the last 100 years or so has started in China so with their filthy habits, hygiene, and food preparation it is not that hard to see that these viruses can and do start in those conditions.
Since the US developed this exact or similar virus (china bat/sars) perhaps we are well on the way to a cure/vaccine.
In 2015 it has been replicated in a living thing..I think mouse.
