Try Dawn dishwashing soap about 40:1. Or most any dish soap.
Put about 1/2 inch of soap in a large plastic soda glass and fill 1/2-3/4 with water. Run water slow for no foam.
Throw the water onto the wasp/yellow jacket/hornet nest.
Usually the impact splashes the soapy water on all of the wasps.
Kills them dead in seconds. They can’t fly and the soap kills them.
It’s cheap and non-toxic.
Have used this for decades!
I use spray adhesive, the kind used for wrapping paper packages, on bees nests. They can’t fly and they all get stuck together. Works especially well on yellow jackets that have nests in tbe ground. Just spray a bunch in the entrance hole.

I can remember the days when idiots sniffed airplane model glue from a paper bag.
Is wasp spray even necessary? Just wait until dark and relocate or do whatever you want with their hive. And it’s free.
I wait until dark and I relocate? No way. I'm staying and I want to chemically kill them as quickly as possible because I ain't relocating over wasps. If I have to burn my house down with a flamethrower I ain't quitting.
Yet Union Carbide got hell over Bopal and methyl isocyanate (a chemical used in pesticides) We had to shut down the Union Carbide MIC plant in Institute, WV because people were freaking.
If these morons could put MIC in their Meth and smoke it they would!

Only as we learned that the Bhopal factory was never run by the Union Carbide Corporation, but by the Union Carbide India Limited company, which was a completely separate entity, totally run by Indian nationals.
But the big bad US got the blame.
Thanks to a gaggle of US tort lawyers (e.g., Marvin Beli) who got on a plane went to India and then started looking for a deeper pocket then the Indian company.
